Nora Kate 20 Months

On April 14, Nora Kate reached the 20 month milestone!  

Language-Her vocabulary has continued to boom this month.  She puts several words together and makes sentences.  Every day she says new words and says them more clearly.  She has started calling Dawson "Bubba."  She was calling Carter "Car-ker" but has started saying "Caaar ter" (say in the most southern accent you can).  I need to record this because I cannot phonetically write it.  It's adorable!  She loves the keep conversation going.  If by some miracle there is a quiet moment in the van she will start listing everyone in the car then saying, "Mommy-Lud Do.  Daddy-Lud do! Bubba Lud do! Caaaarter Lud do" (lud do=love you).  It's so sweet.

Affectionate-Nora Kate has gotten even more affectionate.  She loves sitting on my lap, hugging and kissing.  She frequently will stop playing to come give me a kiss.  I know she learned this from Carter!

Hair-she's getting more hair and it's still curly! I LOVE IT!  She also LOVES wearing her hairbows and always asks for a hairbow if she doesn't have one on for the day yet. "airbow? airbow?"

Eating-she's still a great eater!  She tries to sneak in the pantry and grab her Easter candy a lot here lately, but she's just as happy eating her carrots, peas, and chicken at dinner too (or whatever it may be).  She isn't really picky yet.  A recent fav that she hadn't had in a while is Crasins! Loves them!

Toys-Nora Kate loves playing outside and asks to go "out!" just like the boys did at this age! She also pushes the toy mowers around the yard like she's seen her brothers do too!  Her favorite inside activities are playing with the toy kitchen, looking at books (with me, Daddy, or brothers, or even alone), lining the trains up, or carrying her dolls around patting them (as hard as she can) and saying, "Awwww Baby! Kiss!"

Potty-She still goes potty but is still wearing her diaper full time.  We will get there.  She isn't as interested here lately as she was in going potty, but she still will go about 2 times minimum for me a day....which is better than none!

So hard not to be silly at 20 months!

It was basically impossible to get a picture of these three looking.  This is what they did when I asked them to get in the chair.  Carter made himself comfortable.  Nora Kate and Dawson got involved in a deep conversation! Haha!

These three are so wonderful, and we love them so much!
