I didn't think we would have too much to post from October 2015, since I did separate blog entries on our October Beach Trip and Clayton's Gender Reveal party, but after looking through the pictures I realized we had some more worth sharing a blogging on.

It was a spiderman themed birthday party, and Nora Kate LOVED the spiderman! She still occasionally thanks God for spiderman in her prayers.
John found these cool logs at Home Depot where you can have a one log small outdoor fire. We did 2 or 3 of these in the backyard in October. The boys LOVED them!
John took Dawson and Carter to a Maryville High School football game. They LOVED it!
At the very beginning of the month before we knew baby Clayton's gender, we had our gender ultrasound where John and I would find out if baby was a boy or girl. We had planned to leave the kids somewhere, but it didn't work out. It was a little awkward trying to explain that we DID want to know the gender but not to say it to us or type it on the screen because we did NOT want the kids to know. The ultrasound tech figured it out, and the kids did great even though there was a long wait in the waiting room for the appointment. John suggested we reward the kids by taking them to Chuck E. Cheese after. It was a big reward because we NEVER go there! They loved it!

Nora Kate got her toe nails painted for the FIRST time in October. She was SO excited! She kept saying, "We match, Mommy! I'm like Mommy!"

Dawson practices his sight words for school every night, and since the beginning of school Carter has been BEGGING for his own sight words. I made him his very own version and he was so proud!

We went to Dawson's school to eat lunch with him once or twice in October. Here was one of our lunches! Carter would go eat with brother EVERY day if we could!
We got a VERY up close look at the bear as he came to drink water next to the glass on one of our zoo visits in October.

One October morning I got to attend Muffins with Mom in Dawson's school cafeteria before school (yes, that means we all had to be at Dawson's school at 7:10...it was tough, but so worth it)! After that and his school day started I tagged along on a walking field trip to the fire station.

We visited Dollywood once in October...it was the PERFECT Dollywood day. The forecast had originally been rain, which deterred a lot of visitors I think. It ended up being great-just overcast with no rain! We went on every ride we wanted 2 or 3 times.

It was right before Halloween so they had an area set up where you could pain pumpkins! The kids really enjoyed this!
Carter wanted to ride the Kid Rollercoaster...with Dawson and not with us! It made me nervous until I saw them coming around the curve and both boys with GIANT grins! In this picture if you look you can see them below the double blue star.

Friday night (the night before Halloween) we went trick or treating in Downtown Maryville for their big even downtown. The kids loved it, and it really was a lot of fun!
Then Saturday night we got to trick or treat in our neighborhood! We are SO thrilled to have a fun Halloween neighborhood! All of the neighbors participated! Lots of neighbors set up pretty elaborate displays (the favorite was one house that had tiki torches lining the sidewalk, sand, a huge wooden treasure chest full of candy, lots of pirate décor, and all of the people who lived there were dressed as pirates! It was so neat!) Also, a lot of the neighbors sat at the foot of their driveways so that you didn't have to walk up driveways of those who lived on hills which was great! I wasn't sure how Nora Kate would do, but she did amazing with all the walking we did! All three kids did really! It was such a fun Halloween, and it made us appreciate our great neighborhood even more!
LOOK AT ALLLLLL THAT CANDY! On top of all this our very sweet neighbors made each kid their own gift bag full of candy, stickers, balloon, and more...the kids thought this was the best day ever!
