I always try to make a list of who helped us celebrate. The following people attended Nora Kate's birthday: Daddy, Mommy, Dawson and Carter; Kyle, Tanya, and Bailey; Casey, Jessica, Carson, Harper; Chris, Alana, and Colt; Marc, Kim, Gianni, and Anthony; Lolly, Pop, Uncle Logan; Nana and Grandad; David, Sarah, Alexa, Connor, and William; Fred, Andrea, Charlie, and Olivia; Charlie and Olivia's grandmother Terry (in town from Texas!); Josh, Cassandra, Henry, Thomas, and Marshall (thanks for coming alllllll the way from Asheville just to celebrate Nora Kate!); Mark, Cassie, and Campbell (who had a brand new bowtie just for this occasion)!
Speaking of bowties, the invitation (included in the pictures below) was super girly, so in an effort not to exclude the boys, while the girls were encouraged to wear tutus the boys were asked to wear ties!

Ribbon and pearls! Hairbow I made for Nora Kate's special day!
Nora Kate in her tutu and new hairbow both of which I made for her birthday!
Her shirt has a big pink "1" on it with her name across it!
Party décor
If it were just slightly more practical for crawling and playing, I just might dress her in a tutu every day! I loved seeing her in it
Practicing her "soft marshmallow" ballet hands.
The party agenda
We sat our a big quilt with baby toys for all the non-walkers in attendance (I think we had 4 non-walkers there!) and the exersaucer was out for little ones too!
A one year old's outdoor birthday party isn't complete without a white chandelier hung over the patio and wrapped in pearls!
The birthday girl's special tutu highchair!
Lolly, Nora Kate, and I in our tutus at the party!
Dawson and Harper suddenly have a sweet little relationship!
Harper has her tutu on and Dawson has on a pink seersucker bowtie!

Our family at Nora Kate's party.
(Nora Kate had no tutu at this point because she was ready to eat!)
"You want me to blow out the candle?!"
(those big blue eyes and pink cheeks remind me of Dawson!)
stripped down and ready to smash into her cake
Nora Kate daintily picked at her cake, and it was pretty anticlimactic! She never really smashed into it! We gave her a spoon, and she ate a few bites like that. Really she wasn't too interested in the cake. It's okay though, I appreciate a kid who doesn't want to make a mess!!!! I think she was more excited when I gave her the ballerina berries (blue berries, raspberries, and strawberries) to eat!
Carter enjoyed some cake!
Andrea and Olivia enjoying some cake!
Cute boys enjoying cake!
Connor had fun in the sand box!
The adorable Fontinell boys on the little inflatable.
Here's a partial picture of the little inflatable we had set up at the party.
We also had a big inflatable for the older kids to bounce in!
smash cake
the "after party" Lolly and Pop stayed to help us clean up, and Dawson and Lolly had fun bouncing in the big inflatable bounce house!
all about Nora Kate
the smaller inflatable
the big inflatable
we had it the entire weekend, and made full use of it...we jumped Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! Even Nora Kate liked bouncing around in there with her brothers (with me in there too of course)!
Instead of balloons, I made 24 of these big flower balls in various shades of pink that we hung around the yard and from the trees!
The party favors!
(We have slowly been delivering them because I completely forgot to hand them out to most people!) It has a candy bracelet, sunglasses, and bubbles, the tag says, "Thank you for coming TUTU my birthday party!" and is tied in tulle.
The invitation asked in lieu of gifts for attendants to bring canned goods for the food pantry, Nora Kate got a few gifts and everything else on this table is a bag or box of canned goods! We have very generous friends, and we plan to take all the food donated to the food pantry this week! Also on this table: Nora Kate's baby book and scrapbook of her first year.
Look! The box is overflowing with donations for the food pantry!
Thanks to all the party guests for contributing!
Nora Kate preferred to daintily eat her smash cake with a pink spoon. Look at that expression!
Dawson helped her get a few bites on her spoon!
We had the big inflatable rented from Friday to Monday from Nora Kate's party, and we made great use of it! We bounced ALLLLL weekend!
Some Sunday afternoon bouncing...then I look over and Dawson says, "look! we are all doing a plank!" haha!
Dawson wanted to take pictures of everyone jumping on Sunday.
...and this is what everyone looked like from all the jumping and partying by Sunday evening!
We had a wonderful time celebrating our baby girl! Thanks to everyone who helped make the day special for Nora Kate!
