March was a fun month. We celebrated Clayton's 6th birthday (all about that in a separate post), we had Spring Break, we were in full swing with soccer and baseball practices, Dawson had several activities with scouts and more...
Back to the orthodontist for Dawson meant a new color on his braces! He had been all red....
but this time he switched to bright green.

NK has been into wanting me to do her hair in different ways and take a picture. She usually has a vision how she wants it.
It was still pretty chilly most mornings in March, so I tired to take advantage of the kids being at school for a few hours a week and run while they were at the building...it also meant I got to run another of my favorite run routes which takes me all around downtown athens and the square!

Playground time!
Ash Wednesday
Clayton specifically requested I take his picture with the ashes on his forehead after we got home from church.

March weather was all over the place...we had some cold days and some days warm enough to be in shorts and kayak around. That's Dawson on the kayak.
And Carter wanted a turn.

Dawson had his friend Bryant over to spend the night
Duke sweet as always
Warmer weather means getting to eat on the patio!
Oh Duke
Our neighbor across from us captured this picture of our house against another beautiful sunset.
They really had fun!

Neighborhood playground
It's hard to see in the picture but NK requested I take a picture of Duke wearing this bracelet. He looks thrilled.
A girl and her dog.

Talk about the weather being all over the place....it snowed in March!
Enough to sled.
Everyone was excited and enjoyed the snow.
Crazy thing was the next day it was warm and sunny...we were even outside barefoot the next afternoon. But the snow was enjoyed while it lasted.
Another hair request and another picture request.
This makes me so happy.
NK in a nest of blankets and pillows reading Baby Sitters Club...I used to LOVE these books!
Archery started for Dawson this month. It is March and April, and he also learned that by doing this it will help him to earn another merit badge for scouts. It is impressive how accurate he is with that bow...I've tried and it's not as easy as it looks that's for sure!

Ever since we adopted Duke and we discussed how Duke had a foster family while he was waiting for us to adopt him, we have considered fostering a puppy or two.....well we finally made the plunge and did it! These two siblings-Cam on the left and Patch on the right were our foster puppies for 10 days.
The kids loved it!! These puppies got baths, so many cuddles, hugs, and so much love. They grew so much in the 10 days that they were with us. But goodness was I exhausted when they went to their FURever homes.
This girl loves dogs.

This selfie was our last ride in our blue van!
On St. Patricks Day we got a new van!

Baseball practice is in full swing and so is soccer practice.
Chickfila is our only exception to the no fast food rule...and sometimes when you have 4 hours of practices in one night...you gotta eat your chickfila for dinner in the back of the truck.
Spring Break was the last week of March. Although we stayed in town and didn't travel, the kids had a lot of fun activities they wanted to do. The first of which was camp out upstairs.
These puppy pictures are mixed in with all of our other pictures, but here is Clayton getting snuggles from Patch. Can you tell he loved the pups!?
We went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings. The kids ordered their own drinks...Clayton was of course the only kid to order something with caffeine in it. "I'll have Coke" AND I just loved this picture because it shows how good Dawson is with Clayton. Dawson is always patient with him and shows his cool things, and Clayton looks up to him so much.
More puppy pictures.
They loved the trampoline!
Duke wrestling with Cam.
Dawson got a bullseye at archery
Clayton twinning in his camo hoodie with his buddy Cooper.
Despite the fact that I had to do a ton of extra cleaning and didn't sleep through the night the entire time we had the puppies, I still enjoyed the overall experience. Patch was a good little snuggler.
Another hair request from NK...braid a piece of hair and wrap it around the pony tail.
And Patch had some pretty cute expressions.
Toward the end of March, Emily, Eric, Zoe, and Zach came down to visit us. We really enjoyed their company, and the kids had so much fun!

Clayton had a tiny cavity and they had to fix it at the dentist...not the most fun part of spring break, but he was rock star. It was small and he didn't even have to get a shot to numb it, but he did get laughing gas. He wanted a picture to see what he looked like.
Clayton got to play with his buddy Carson from down the street on Spring Break.
Clayton helped us plant a dogwood in the front yard.
And we also planted a maple in the back.
We had our undercabinet lighting installed over spring break.
The kids made dinner...dough, rolled it out, topped the pizza. Fruit to go with. Good job!
We went on a 5 mile bike ride on a local trail.
Clayton built this lego set!!
We had a picnic at Providence
We had so much baseball practice on spring break
He wanted to show me his tough face
We went to try Korean BBQ for the first time!
Fun cooking at our table!!
We met up with friends Jude and Mason at Altitude!
They enjoyed all the fun at the trampoline park.
Overall they had a great Spring Break with lots of local activities.
March was a fun month!!
