March was a very fun and very busy month for us! The first weekend of March we took Dawson to his friend, Charlie's 2nd birthday party at Gym Bugs! Dawson had a blast running around, jumping on the trampolines, riding the "roller coaster," playing with the parachute, and jumping in the ball pit (which he accidentally called the "arm pit" one time-after he realized what he said, he though this was hilarious!). Charlie's birthday party was a lot of fun, and we were excited to in Tennessee to attend!
The weather has been amazing for the majority of the month, so most days we have spent outside. Dawson is an outside kid, and he asks to go out from the moment his eyes open in the morning until bedtime every night. We assembled his swing set, got sand for his sandbox, and set up all his outside toys this month as we unpacked. His very favorite thing to do outside is still ride his John Deere tractor! We continue to be amazed at what a good driver he is! Along with his John Deere obsession, any time we visit Lolly and Pop's house Dawson thinks he gets to go for a ride on Pop's John Deere...and he usually always does! One time this past month, Pop even got out the go cart and took Dawson on a little ride. Dawson still prefers the John Deere over the go cart because he said the go cart was too loud!
With all of the nice weather, we've also visited a few playgrounds. Dawson loves the slides, swings, and just being able to run around outside! We've also visited the duckpond which Dawson really liked! We took some bread to feed the ducks, and Dawson had a ball!
Dawson and I have gotten in the routine of going to storytime at the library every week. He loves going, and sits like such a big boy through the (in my opinion, lengthy) storytime. After story time he loves doing the craft, and our refrigerator is decorated with all kinds of things he has made at the library. We usually check out a few books after storytime to keep until the following week.
Also, part of our little routine is that after we leave the library we walk to the park, across the bridge looking at the turtles, ducks, and geese, and then sometimes we keep walking and go downtown to have lunch at Nana's (John's mom's) bakery.
This month we also became members at the Knoxville Zoo, and we've already been two times! Dawson absolutely loves going, and we have a lot of fun. This first time John, Dawson, and I went, then yesterday, Dawson and I met our friends Andrea and Charlie and spent a few hours enjoying the zoo.
Last weekend Dawson got to attend another birthday party. Corbin turned 3, and Dawson had fun playing with other kids and helping celebrate at his party! Also, last weekend we were able to get our garden planted. This year it is about three times larger than last year, and Dawson had fun helping plant seeds in the dirt! Thankfully John did all the hard work of tilling or else our garden would have been nonexistent this year! :)
Last weekend Dawson completed his eighth, and final, session of his swim lessons. He loved everything about swim lessons except for putting his face under the water. I didn't force the issue with him, and I'm sure he will do it on his own time. His very favorite thing to do is jump of the side of the pool into the water! The instructor said Dawson is ready to move up to the next class, but we're planning to take a little break, with Carter due and summer coming, before we enroll in another session. The sad thing (for me!) is that the next class he will move to is not a "Mommy and Me" class, he would do it completely on his own. :( I'm sure he will be ready for this, but it's hard to imagine!
Dawson really is growing up though. For example, last week we decided to let him go to nursery so we could visit a Sunday School class, and he did great! This is the same boy that went to the same church for his whole 2.5 years in Alabama two times a week and cried almost every time we left him! We had been visiting church and bringing Dawson in "big church" with us, but in order to go to a Sunday School we had to put him in nursery. I was worried he'd be upset, but he said he had fun in the "Tigers Class!" He reported to us after church that he met a boy named Cameron and told him about his John Deere. He also told us that his teacher folded his art, and he didn't like that! (Silly boy!) I was so thrilled that he was happy and actually had fun!
In other, non-exciting news, after a month of being in our house we're officially settled and unpacked. We have everything hung on the walls, and all of our boxes are unpacked!
Well, that covers everything for our busy month of March. Enjoy some pictures below...

throwing it TO them not AT them! Boys!
Dawson loves to pick flowers for me
when he's outside. He picked these
for me out of Lolly and Pop's yard, and
he was so proud that they sat in our
kitchen and didn't wilt for over a week!
He talked every day about how he picked
them for me! My sweet, sweet boy!
Trying to get a picture of Dawson and Corbin

This one is better!

Dawson runs nonstop when we're outside!
The other day Dawson caught a moth, and
