Carter is such a sweet heart and gets so excited about everything fun and exciting. He has such a fun personality.
I think Carter has a very special place in the family because being one of the "middles" in our family he gets some great relationships. He and Dawson have always been very close and sharing rooms since a very young age (since Carter was just one!) has strengthened this bond. But Carter also has a very different and very special relationship with Nora Kate. They are so close in age that they've always been close, but it seems like over the summer and since they started at the same school two month ago this bond has been strengthened even more. He's also a great big brother to Clayton. Clayton knows that Carter is the one he can go to when he wants to wrestle, be rowdy, and silly and he loves it!
I have enjoyed getting to teach Carter at home with our new school plan for this school year, and even though we are only 2 months in right now I am enjoying getting to watch him learn. I'm continually amazed by his brain and how quickly he grasps concepts and how he makes connections-sometimes in very different ways from me, but once he explains how he arrived at that it makes perfect sense! He definitely prefers math to his other subjects, but he is also a wonderful reader!
In recent months Carter has been interested in strength. He requested to have weights in his room so he could do arm curls in his room each morning when he wakes up. He had already been doing a ton of pushups (all his own idea) each morning. He was already a solid muscle, but now that he's been doing these weights he is even more so!
John and I just love this sweet, silly, competitive, caring personality!
