We're Home!
John, Dawson, and I got to come home from the hospital on Sunday. We have slowly been adjusting to life with less sleep, a hungry baby, and dirty diapers, but we've been having a lot of fun! We've posted some pictures below for you all to see.

Dad's Birthday & Update on Dawson
Over the weekend my parents and Logan came to visit to celebrate Dad’s birthday. John grilled some yummy steaks, and we had dinner at our house complete with birthday cake for dessert to celebrate. We were all hoping that Dawson would decide to arrive while they were in town, but I guess he decided he didn’t want to share his birthday with Pop. (My parents will be going by Lolly & Pop to Dawson, and John’s parents will be called Grandad and Nana.)
As for an update on Dawson, if he does not decide to come on his own between now and Thursday, May 14th, I will be induced on that day. John and I are crossing our fingers that he comes before then! Dawson will be born at Huntsville Hospital. We will try to put pictures on this website as soon as possible after Dawson is born. When the hospital takes his first picture they post it on their website http://www.infantxpress.com/nursery2.php?orgID=20070 and you just have to search by the date he is born and my name. We will keep everyone updated on his arrival!

March & April
John & I have been very busy the past couple of months. We have attended two weddings, one of which was here in Alabama. One of John's fraternity brothers got married at the Decatur Country Club. The wedding was a lot of fun, and we got to see a lot of our friends. Jon and Abbey came to stay with us the weekend of the wedding, and we always have a really good time with them! Also, in March one of mine and John's high school friends, Jared, got married in Maryville. At his wedding we got to see a lot of people from high school, some that we hadn't seen since either mine or John's graduations.
In addition to being visited by Jon and Abbey, both my mom and John's mom came to visit during the month of March. John and I are always excited to have company, and we had a good time with our families as well.
John and I have also been busy with baby showers. I had a great time at all of the showers,
and we really appreciate everyone's generosity in helping us prepare for Baby Dawson's arrival. The weekend of one of the showers, I also got to spend some time with good friends in Knoxville. Stephanie and Erica cooked a great dinner for Abbey, AT, Ashlee, Jen, and me the night I was in Tennessee to visit. It had been a long time since all of us were together, and we had a fun time like we always do when we're together!

Another thing that has kept us busy over the past couple of months has been preparing Dawson's room. John has worked hard to paint the room, paint and hang chair rail, assemble the furniture, and hang things on the walls; meanwhile, I've had fun putting away all of Dawson's little clothes and other items.
The picture to the right is of John and I at Jason's wedding. At this point Dawson is only 6 weeks away from his due date!
The picture at left is Abbey and I at Jason's wedding.
The picture to the right was taken at a baby shower. Pictured left to right: Erica, Ashlee, me, Stephanie, AT, and Abbey.
In this picture I am 32 weeks pregnant.
The photo at left is John decorating one of his Easter Eggs on Good Friday.
And, as I had promised our friends in Tennessee, the rest are pictures of Dawson's nursery. We still have a few more things to hang on the walls, but this is what it looks like now...

Welcome to Our Family Blog
We have decided to start this blog for our family. You can visit any time to read what is going on in our lives and see updated pictures (especially after Baby Dawson is born)! We thought this would be a great way to keep in touch with all of our family and friends in different states. So, we’ll do our best to keep you updated on the lives of John, Jessica, Dawson, and, of course, Bentley!
The picture to the left was taken in January on our vacation to Ft. Lauderdale.
The picture to the right is of Jessica with Baby Dawson on Christmas Eve.
The picture of Bentley was taken on Christmas morning.
