For at least the last four months, Carter has been telling me that he wanted to have an obstacle course birthday party. He loves a challenge and he watched a few episodes of an obstacle course type tv show and has been talking about obstacle courses every since! Carter is so competitive and loves a challenge, so really it should come as no surprise that he would like this sort of thing. As his birthday got nearer, he started asking me if I could BUILD an obstacle course in the backyard just for his party. I found a local gymnastics gym who could do a birthday party and make "challenges" for the kids like obstacle courses. This ended up being ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Carter was thrilled with how it all turned out, and Nora Kate has repeatedly told me she wants a birthday party "just like Carter's!" Carter invited all the boys from his class at school and his friends Harper and Carson, and, of course, Nana, Grandad, Lolly, Aunt Emily, Eric, Zoe, and Zachary. We were thrilled with a great turn out.
