I cannot believe that our sweet Mr. Baby is now only one month away from turning TWO! We are in full birthday party planning mode now and as we have been prepping it's been fun talking about all the things he likes and making them into different possible themes. Clayton's ALL BOY...his favorite things are sticks, being outside, and balls. Any time we are outside he has at least two sticks in his hands at all times. He's so much like Dawson in the fact that he LOVES to be outdoors. It's funny because we also see him being like Carter in that he loves to make us laugh...especially if that means he gets to be loud and silly in the process.
We are working on potty training as my goal for Clayton is to have him potty trained by his 2nd birthday like his brothers and sister were. (Not night-time potty trained, but daytime) So far he's doing great.
Clayton loves all food. He continues to be a great eater of meats, veggies, fruits, and, of course, snacks. He would eat Greek Yogurt (Oikos brand lime flavor specifically) any time any day if it were left up to him.
This month we visited the Park Vista and Clayton had a BLAST in the water. He enjoyed it last winter, but this year, oh, he loved it! Complete water baby. I can't wait for him to get to enjoy swimming this summer.
Clayton loves our days spent playing in the playroom or sunroom, but he's also equally happy playing outside when the weather allows or playing at gym bugs, tumblebears, or a friends house.
Our sweet boy still likes to sleep with his blanket each night. He's still a thumb-sucker, and I'm growing concerned that this may be a hard habit to break...but that will be something we work on later! He's doing great sleeping in his new twin bed!! I'm so proud of how well he has made this transition. So easy.
We have had to drag Clayton to tons of basketball stuff (practices and games) over his 23rd month, but he's done well. He always likes it if he gets to play with Nora Kate or Harper at the games, and, of course, he knows that Lolly and Nana usually have a snack for him in their bags when they're at the games.
I could go on and on about our sweet boy, but I'll stop here. Expect a long update next month for his TWO YEAR update. Cannot believe it's so close. Sweet, sweet boy, stop growing up so quickly!
